Anyone who likes a night out in Glasgow will have been to the Barrowland Ballroom. It really is an iconic building, lighting up the street with its unique animated neon sign - believed to be the largest sign of its kind in the UK.
Situated in the Barras area east of the Glasgow city centre, the original Barrowland Ballroom opened in 1934. But when a fire broke out in 1958, the old building was largely destroyed, leading to a huge restoration project over the next two years. On Christmas Eve 1960, the Barrowland Ballroom opened once more, and has been hosting balls and concerts ever since. Anyone who's anyone has played the Ballroom stage: David Bowie, Oasis, U2, The Smiths, Muse, the list goes on and on!
This design shows the iconic multi-coloured Barrowland façade, with a flock of revellers queuing up to get through the doors! Go on - celebrate the good times with this striking tea towel!
