There aren’t many things that symbolise a trip to the British coast better than the sight of a pleasure pier stretching out into the ocean from the shore. Weston-super-Mare is no exception. Its Grand Pier is one of Britain’s best, and most iconic, offering some of the archetypal amenities of a British seaside resort: amusement arcades, donkey rides and of course fresh fish and chips.
Sadly, its traditional wooden structure has meant the Grand Pier has suffered complete destruction in fires on two separate occasions. The second, which occurred as recently as 2008, saw a rebuild and revamp of the original structure and the opening of a new pavilion in 2011, restoring The Grand Pier to its original Edwardian splendour.
Next time you’re drying your dishes, let the delicate blues and yellows on this design transport you to a warm summer’s day at the seaside, or even inspire a trip down to Weston-super-Mare.

Westin Super Mare tea towel
Bought as a gift for someone. Really pleased with purchase. It looks great and am sure it will be well received at Christmas. Communication with Town towels has been easy & efficient. I look forward to seeing more of their designs in the future
