Wales boasts some of the UK’s finest coastal landscapes, from dramatic cliffs and sea stacks to sandy bays and blue lagoons. People come from near and far to walk the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or to explore the dunes and cliffs of Anglesey. But one of the lesser-known gems of the Welsh coast is Rhossili Bay on the southwestern tip of the Gower Peninsula. A wide sandy beach backed by grassy dunes, Rhossili Bay does feel slightly out of this world – no wonder it was used as the setting of New Earth in Doctor Who!

In 2014, Rhossili Bay was voted the best beach in the UK, the third best in Europe, and ninth best in the world. Pretty cool, right? That’s why we’ve decided to celebrate Rhossili Bay with this stunning tea towel showing the view along the beach from the grassy headland, with Rhossili Down rising up to the right – a beautiful scene to enjoy as you dry the dishes!

Half Panama organic bleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish). Stitched on all four sides. Includes hanging loop. Measures approximately 48cm x 70cm. Machine wash at 40 degrees max. We recommend that before you use your tea towel for the first time you wash it at least once to soften up the material and make it more absorbent for drying dishes. Please note size can vary slightly.

Brings back memories of a wonderful place

Posted by Norma Hughes on 12th Sep 2024

My husband and I saw this towel, wonderfully designed by Lloyd and we decided that we had to have it. I was born in Gower and Rhossili has a special significance for both of us because we had our wedding reception there 57 years ago. Although we have been living away for all those years we like to visit every time we are 'home' in Wales and have even brought our grandsons there. Seeing it in the house will give me a real sense of Hiraeth. Thank you for your good work.
