Weaving together the many strands of its long and exciting history, modern Manchester is a rich tapestry of old and new, industrial and metropolitan. From Roman ruins to sky-scrapers, Gothic churches to 19th century mills - Manchester has it all.

And what better building to represent the modern vision of the city than the iconic Daily Express Building. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was only a few years old. With its horizontal lines, curved corners and black vitrolite glass, it almost seems to have come to us from the future - and that was exactly what the architect wanted when he designed it way back in the 1930s! This was the Golden Era of Art Deco, but even among the avant-garde, The Express Building was seen as way ahead of its time.

This design shows the building's iconic futurist façade at night. It's the epitome of the Streamline Moderne style of Art Deco architecture - sleek, new, and yet somehow impossibly timeless. Any Mancunian is sure to fall in love with this tea towel!

Half Panama organic bleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish). Stitched on all four sides. Includes hanging loop. Measures approximately 48cm x 70cm. Machine wash at 40 degrees max. We recommend that before you use your tea towel for the first time you wash it at least once to soften up the material and make it more absorbent for drying dishes. Please note size can vary slightly.
